Action:
Virostatic Immunomodulator Paulferón contains recombinant human interferon alpha 2b, a protein produced using recombinant DNA techniques in Escherichia coli bacteria.
Indicated for the treatment of: Ocular disease attributed to herpesvirus Gingivitis, stomatitis, chronic pharyngitis Feline leukemia virus infection Supportive treatment for animals with retrovirusassociated tumors Neoplasms and paraneoplastic syndromes
Dosage and Administration:
Herpesvirus-associated ocular disease: 0.2 IU/kg orally, every 24 hours for 7 days
Gingivitis, stomatitis, chronic pharyngitis: 30 IU total. 1 ml orally every 12 hours for 7 days. Repeat the regimen after a one-week break
Feline leukemia virus infection: 30 IU total. 1 ml orally every 12 hours for 7 days. Repeat the regimen after a one-week break
Supportive treatment for retrovirusassociated tumors: 30 IU total. 1 ml orally every 12 hours for 7 days. Repeat the regimen after a one-week break
Contraindications:
Patients with a history of allergy to interferon, glycine, or albumin
Epileptic disorders or functional nervous system alterations
Severe cardiovascular disease. Severe renal or hepatic dysfunction
